The tortillas are fresh and made by hand. The Enchiladas are perfect the beans are fresh, Menudo made just like my mom's. It is authentic Mexican food. All the waitress' are kind and alway's check back to see if you need anything else. Jess, Daisy and Griz are ready to take your phone orders and have it ready within 10 min. After you call in orders. I highly recommend Mi Rancho Alegre for breakfast or lunch.
I go here weekly! Love this place! 9/10! Wish they used cheddar cheese instead of American velvetta cheese. Also to reduce some of the grease from picadillo meat. Other than that, 10/10. Love the staff, always friendly and ready to serve. Sweet sweet women who need raises for all their hard work! I’m always happy to see them. I love their morning coffee too. I also enjoy that they are Christian’s operating this restaurant and they have sometimes a live musician who sings Mexican and plays guitar. A special hole in the wall place!
I love this place. I am a very regular customer at this restaurant. The veteran waitstaff are always great, very welcoming, and remember their regulars. I have tried about half of the menu and have enjoyed everything. Breakfast is available all day. Over the many years there have been a few mistakes, when talking to management all were taken care of immediately to my satisfaction. Tortillas are made by hand as they should be. Morning taco rush is huge here. It should go without saying that paying cash speads up the line, but this business does accept credit cards. NO CHECKS. Beverages will include sweet,or unsweetened tea, canned sodas, and bottled beer. Decent to quite large portions for very fair prices. Daily breakfast,lunch, and dinner specials. Really like the burgers also. I have them put the Jack cheese(white) grilled jalapenos, and guacamole on it. One of my favorites in town.
The family that runs this business are amazing. The food is always hot and fresh. Perfect place to grab a quick bite to eat or take the family for an authentic, home cooked meal. Daily specials, even on the weekends!

Where do I start? This place is amazing!! I stumbled upon this amazing authentic Mexican Restaurant on a road trip to San Riverwalk. The reason for the visit was all the great reviews, they weren’t wrong!! The food is amazing! The staff is amazing! The food cane out promptly and hot! Hands down the best Mexican breakfast I’ve had in a long time! The prices are very inexpensive. Bottom line... it’s worth the journey off the beaten path to enjoy this gem. It now is on my list of must stop when I’m in the area!! Keep up the great quality of food, keep up the great service and keep up all the flavors!! It’s crazy I found this place surrounded by other Mexican restaurants. I will always return!!! Thank you!
The food and service here are outstanding. Mi Rancho Alegre has the best lunch specials bar none. 6.49 with tea plus tax. That in itself is hard to find now anywhere in SA. Highly recommend.
Best homemade tortillas in the area. Great customer service and really good breakfast tacos special, you can mix. No need to be all 3 same like most other places. The daily special has 3 choices and tea is included. Highly recommend.
